Program

The Community Partners Program is a cause-related marketing effort that will be developed and managed by Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Florida-Gulf Coast (OCAF-GC). This Program creates partnerships between OCAF-GC and local businesses through mutually beneficial marketing activities. Any number of businesses may become Community Partners with OCAF-GC at any given time. 

Scope & Objectives

Businesses in southwest Florida are primary candidates for the Community Partners Program, though others may be considered.

The Community Partners Program will:

• Generate publicity for the Community Partner
• Raise ovarian cancer awareness and provide ovarian cancer education in southwest Florida
• Generate income to support OCAF-GC and its vital programs

Community Partner Benefits

In return for its participation in this program, the Community Partner will receive the following benefits:

• The Community Partner will be provided ad space for a one-time, ¼-page ad in OCAF-GC's Ovarian Cancer News newsletter distributed to its entire data base before the Community Partner fundraiser.
• OCAF-GC will ensure product or service exclusivity for Community Partners for the duration of the partnership. 
• A flier regarding the Community Partner's fundraiser will be inserted in the OCAF-GC newsletter distributed prior to the fundraiser.
• The Community Partner will be mentioned at the microphone at all OCAF-GC events for the duration of the partnership.
• The Community Partner will be provided a display table at all OCAF-GC events during the duration of the partnership; this table may be used by the Community Partner to display their information and/or products. While the display may be staffed, sales may not be made by the Community Partner during the event.
• The Community Partner will be featured in a news release regarding its fundraiser, which will be issued by OCAF-GC.

Community Partner Responsibilities

The Community Partner agrees to:

• Hold an annual fundraiser to benefit OCAF-GC for at least two consecutive years; or provide an in-kind donation of at least $2,000 in media Public Service Announcements or print ad space (a) promoting OCAF-GC activities or (b) providing ovarian cancer education to the community
• Fund all costs related to the fundraiser (e.g., mailings, ads, printed coupons, etc.)
• Develop and produce camera-ready artwork for an 8-1/2" X 11" black-and-white flier regarding the fundraiser and fund its printing for insertion into the OCAF-GC newsletter issue prior to the fundraiser 
• Provide camera-ready artwork for a Community Partner promotional black and white ¼-page ad in the OCAF-GC newsletter 

Fund Allocation

Funds generated through the Community Partners Program will support OCAF-GC and its ovarian cancer education and awareness programs in southwest Florida.


Conclusion

The Community Partners Program provides businesses with the opportunity to make a difference by helping OCAF-GC save women's lives right here in our community. The program also provides a Community Partner with strong visible presence in OCAF-GC's efforts.
